Steinerberghaus in Kesseling

A delicious pea soup and other simple tasty dishes in a rather simple "mountain hut self-service environment". Very nice vantage point with the possibility of a beautiful sunset experience.

Very comfortable without lockdown at the weekend, with cake and snacks (and soup) for hikers (see also website, also have a large family-friendly parking lot). Now in lockdown tea, coffee, cake and bratwurst rolls to go.

Hello hiking friends, this is where you have to go! Everything is great, the innkeeper can do it. Let's go, can only be recommended.

At the top of the Steinerberg there is a cozy inn, which invites you to linger with a great view and a very nice outdoor area. The food is like the shop, familiar, home-style. No matter if small things, cakes or main courses. You can always find something here. And you can also enjoy a cold, fresh beer. In addition, there is even the possibility to spend the night there. For eBike riders there are sockets in the entrance area to recharge the battery

Opened as a to go. A delicious piece of cake is just the thing after climbing over the Schrock.

Very tasty and in terms of price absolutely recommendable with a view to the quality offered. The combination of the currywurst in connection with the 1 + * fried potatoes and the coleslaw and the bread is uniquely delicious. The portion is neat! To be recommended without exception.

I had a pea soup. The pea soup was decorated with Maggi (not everyone likes) despite Maggi it tasted terrible.

Great location with a spectacular view. Drinks and food tip top. Large portions and everything is fresh. The guest room 'Hohe Acht' is an experience. We recommend.

Has not been there for a long time. The view is simply fantastic. I didn't like the food. Schnitzel frozen fried potatoes as well and not really warm and the salad, coleslaw, also ready-made meal. Unfortunately we couldn't get a small portion of pea soup. My grandmother, at 90, can't manage one portion. Probably the reheated portion could not be divided. If only then for the view and to drink. Too bad.

Adventurous approach and great views. There is self-service in the hut. The toilet is clean. But for 3 plates of pea soup & 2 cyclists more than 22 € !!! That's a bit much in my opinion.

Unfortunately a very bad way up but the view is awesome. At the weekend I would avoid the approach too crowded

Very nice excursion restaurant with a wonderful view over the Eifel. It's best to walk up the mountain. Then it tastes even better. The price-performance ratio is reasonable. There are usually different cakes to choose from. Gladly again!

Great guest house in the forest. Wonderful food, amazing views & delightful surroundings. Definitely worth the hike or ride up to get there

Very high and nice location. Narrow and worn partially growing access road. Hiking trails almost not signposted. Breathtaking view. Very good kitchen.

The path we have chosen here is not for the faint-hearted. The road is slightly wider than a car. The asphalt has suffered greatly in places. Here is hiked, cycled, motorcycle and occasionally driven by car. With tight bends it goes up and down the mountain - and then down again. You will be rewarded with a fabulous view, if the weather cooperates. The place is cozy to rest and to strengthen, which is arrived by many people. The staff is friendly and attentive. The decor is rustic and cozy.

After a hike or in between you can have a nice stop here. The beer garden is nice and big. I don't think that self-service is bad here. Service is very friendly. The toilets were very clean.
